| Hi,
I'm having problems with the ray traycing module, even when I use it with the supplied demo projects and follow the tutorial to detail. First off, whenever I use the loss (dB) option, I end up with direct sound only, no reflections, no matter which order I set.
Also, when I try to use draw only reflected rays option with the reflecting face color set active, the source emits rays in all directions, not only to the active faces, and the trace ends up with a lot of rays being emmited into infinity.
Could the problem be associated to my use of NTFS system and not FAT32? Or am I missing something out?
Another problem I've been having is the auralization options. When I try to run auralization in EARS, it gives me the following error message:
run time error 372 / failed to control MMControl from MCI32.OCX.
Can anybody help? Thanks!

| Hi Milo,
to fix the problem with the MCI32.OCX file you should first try to re-install your EASE from CD. That re-installs and re-registers the file and makes sure that EASE is using the file version which comes with the setup.

| Hi,
I have also discovered that the problem goes away if the file in question is just copied from the program files directory to the system 32 directory. |
