| My company just purchased a dual core desktop computer that came pre-installed with Microsoft Vista Home Basic. I installed EASE on it and it installed fine and I was even able to get it registered by downloading a key online. However, whenever I try to open a project I get an error and the program shuts itself down. Here is the error that pops up when trying to open a project:
Run-time error '70':
Permission denied
The only option is to hit OK and then the program restarts.
Has anybody else had this problem or know how to fix it? I called Renkus-Heinz and the guy I talked to heard of this error but was unaware if there was a fix. I am waiting to talk to another guy there to see if he knows how to fix it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| The currently released EASE versions only works with a reduced Windows Vista security configuration. You have to disable the "User Account Control" feature for the logged in account to run EASE without problems
(Control Panel/User Accounts).
With the next release version this problem will be fixed. Then EASE will also works with the default Vista security settings.

| Thank you Frank for the quick response. I was able to uninstall EASE and then turn off User Account Control then reinstall EASE and now everything is working as it should.
