| I had a discussion with Bruce when he was in Australia doing EASE training some time ago, about the possibility of 'locking' parts of an EASE model.
I'm just wondering if this is a possibility and if so, would it be too much to ask for consideration in future software updates?
I've had several projects now where the client requires EASE models of a venue which is then provided to 3rd parties for audio system design in the venue - for example, a Performing Arts Facility.
Another variation is where an EASE model is provided as part of the acoustic consulting in a new facility, and this model is then issued to various audio system designers as part of a competitive tender process.
Once these models are issued, I have no further control over their use.
In these applications, it would be great to issue a 'locked' model while still allowing access to loudspeaker locations and area mapping.
I'd be interested see how other consultants have approached these issues. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. |
