Weird audience mapping error |

| All,
Experienced a weird area mapping error (I think)...
When trying to map direct SPL, the audience area comes up black (0dB) but mapping works fine on other calcs. The room is very small and loudspeakers close to audience area so not sure if this is the problem. Weird thing is creating an audience area behind the loudspeakers works fine, just not in front. Mapping works fine everywhere else too - faces, listener seats - and again, Sum SPL (and others) work fine everywhere including the audience area that is experiencing problems (therefore it is not a setup problem).
Has anybody else experienced something like this? |

| Check to be sure that the loudspeakers are above the audience area or above the projected plane of the area if the area slopes, |

| Yep spot on. I had to tilt the audience axis to make it see the loudspeakers... Previously, they were the same z-axis.
Is there a way to invert audience face (like you would another face) so that contours show up on the bottom of an audience area? There are cases for loudspeakers below audience areas. Is the best way to do this to just create a two-sided face (barrier) inside the room and map to that instead? |
