| I regularly transfer a license between my work desktop and laptop computers.
Recently, I have been unable to retrieve a license to my laptop because of an EASE Guard error.
When clicking on either “INFO” or “DOWNLOAD LICENSE” buttons, the status bar gets half way across then comes up with an error.
“Error code 12029: Cannot Connect”
Clicking OK brings up another error.
“Error Occurred! – 62: Input past the end of file in EASE Guard.”
Clicking ok brings up another error.
“Error! – Could not establish connection”
I have also come up with another error, but I don’t know what I did to make it happen.
“EASE 4.0 Information Sampler!”
“Error: Could not send message.”
I have uninstalled, and reinstalled twice so far but the problem has not changed. |

| Regarding “Error: Could not send message.” : Be sure to have a working email client. Unfortunately not all client types are supported. In such cases please attach the status report EASE40Info.zip by hand to an email.
“Error! – Could not establish connection” could have several reasons:
e.g.
- general connectivity problems
- communication is blocked by a firewall or another security software
For further support please contact AFMG under support@afmg.eu

| I too have the same problem. Lost my license after the download. - Using Windows 7. It gave a similar message but I check first to confim I had a license before download and it confirmed the condition of my laptop.
Then when I went to reinstall everything, when it came time to install the AFMG license manager setup, got this message "internal error 2803. Start_installation_dialog. |

| "internal error 2803. Start_installation_dialog:
May be the existing Licence Manager installation became corrupt. Try a remove of the Licence Manager using the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Then repeat the installation.
Search the web for an appropriate CleanUp Utility download link.
