| For yet another project (sort of same ieda though) we are trying to create parameter maps using standard mapping. The model is fairly complex due to the furniture, even though I've simplified it as much as seems possible while still being realistic. When I try to run the standard mapping module with the 'Map with Shadow' option checked on I get an error message. The error message occurs when I try to see a map with a range of frequencies (in this case 500-2kHz) the error message says:
Error in RenderScene in Line:24
if I press OK the map is rendered, but I just wonder if it is really correct! |

| Hi Jessica,
if possible please send your project to support@afmg.eu to check the problem. An EASE Status report would be helpful. To obtain the report execute "Create Status Report" from the EASE main modules Help menu.

| After experiment with more models, I note that the error happen whenever I room mapping with small patch size. specially high frequency. |

| Dear Thiti,
What would you consider a small patch size? Say, 0.04?
Best regards, |

| Dear Pedro
The error occur when example an
Direct SPL Mapping at 250Hz with patch size of 0.08 and shadow. After BUSY.. Scanning A1, then "Error in RenderScene in Line 24" happen. I Ok through it, then busy...scan two more time, then if click any where in the windows the mapping windows stop respond for couple time then the result show .
Some time for other model the program take very long time like an hour to process the area.
hope this info help. |

| Hi Thiti,
A patch size of 0.08 meters is very small which in combination with shadow cast results in very long calculations that may run into windows folder limitations. I'd suggest making your patch size larger, try 1 meter to verify that the mapping is giving results that you expect and then reduce by 25% to 50% until you find the balance you need between resolution and calculation time. |
