| Hi there,
I have purchased one of these bad boys.
It does work great with Systune. I like that you can store the gains and always go back to a calibrated File. The only downfall would be the Routing of the four Channels. They show up in a strange order. No Problem in Systune Pro but for the normal Version you have to live with the Motu Channels not matching the Systune Numbers.
It goes Ch. 3 4 1 2.
But the driver and Preamps are very good. The software works smooth in the Background and you can switch Pad and 48 individual per Channel. I would recommend this Unit.
And for 440 Euro its a real compact, tough good working piece of kit!

| That looks very interesting also as an add-on to the Aubion X.8 to give it 8 mic pres with digital control. Do the trims on the front panel indicate anywhere on the box itself what they are set to? Without opening CueMix I mean. I am assuming you could set up the mixer to route the 4 Mic inputs one-to-one with the 4 line outs in order to use it as a mic pre for the X.8 inputs 5-8. |

| Yes they do Bruce. The LED Level indicator changes to Gain when you turn the Knobs. It is pretty course but you can see where you are.
You can also do 48V and Pad from the Frontpanel. I like that you can switch 48V and Pad individually on each channel. |

| Hi John , I use it on on USB. My Firewire Port doesn't have enough juice to run it without a psu. |

| Gert,
A couple of questions regarding the 4Pre, you stated "you can store the gains and always go back to a calibrated File", does this mean the SPL
calibration stays if you use the same mic with the same input? and does the SPL cal stays if you adjust the front panel gain? well, three questions,
is there a way to internally loopback the output to an input for reference without a cable?
thanks, |

| Hi Alfredo,
Well you can store Gainsettings and recall them with one click. So if you have to change gain its easy to go back.
Not as good as the Systune Interface shut very doable.
I have not found an internal Loopback. I use a short Jack cable. |
