| Hi,
Please let me know where is the sound source position for Local Decay Time calculation?
thanks, |

| To compute Local Decay Time, EASE sends out rays from selected or scanned Audience Area positions or selected Listener Seats and observes the dB loss going through the air and after being reflected from Faces.

| Dear Frank,
Thank you for your information. I've understood. Then should I use Local Ray Tracing if I want to compute a RT with a sound source on the stage like a real measurement?
thanks,
Masaya |

| Dear Masaya,
if available I would recommend to use AURA Mappping instead.

| Dear Frank,
What's different between AURA Mapping and Local Ray Tracing? Is it accuracy?
thanks,

| The main benefits added by the AURA module are use of sound scattering for very realistic reflections and simplified model design along with the support of multi-threading for AURA calculations. This greatly increases the quality of simulations and can significantly speed them up. Once you run the simulation using the AURA module you can calculate reflectograms at a much higher density and possibly even the full length impulse response. This also increases the quality of the results.
Best Regards
