| Hi Guys,
I'm doing some acoustic coverage / mapping for a large outdoor site, approximately 400m x 260m in size. I have placed a few buildings within the site and would like to get an idea of SPL etc. between the buildings. I have set an audience area to be much less than the total size. With just 1 loudspeaker (a high power CD Horn) a simple map takes about 1 minute. However, when I try to do more detailed Mapping, Standard with Reflections it is indicating the calculation is going to take several hours.
Can anyone suggest a way I can manage this a bit better to speed things up. I'm not looking for a super accurate map, just an idea of the coverage, mainly so I can show it to the client.
Thanks

| Hi charles,
less calculation points (lower resolution) and/or less faces speed things up.
Perhaps you don't need the same resolution for every part of your "audience
area" and it's possible to split it into parts with lower and parts with higher
resolution. (Use the area settings for that and don't forget the checkbox
"Use Area Settings" in the calculation parameters.)
Perhaps you can lower the complexity of your modelled buildings. I don't
know your model, but i'm sure you don't have to model doors or something
like that (for example).
Regards,
