| Hello,
Can we use the speaker GLL files that we used in EASE4.4 in EASE 5-FE? Or should we wait for it to be prepared by the manufacturers or AFMG?
Thanks. |

| Hi Morteza,
GLLs for loudspeakers and line arrays available for EASE 4 can be used also for EASE 5-FE. The same applies to latest-generation DLLs. Speaker models based on cluster-type GLLs are not yet supported in EASE 5-FE. Speaker models based on SPK files are not supported in EASE 5-FE.

| Hello, regarding .SPK files,
I have already encounter multiple occasions where the speaker, that I wish to install, is missing a GLL file from the manufacturer. Usually, at the very least, they will have an SPK file. What I was wondering is if there was some work around to implement these speakers in EASE 5 or if we'll just have to wait until the manufacturers update their catalogues?
If their is no current work around, are we able to make our drawings backwards compatible somehow? At least that way we can use the SPK files in an older version, or would we have to start from scratch in that case?
And one final question, are you able to release any details related to when we should expect EASE 5 to support cluster-type GLLs (as that is another problem I've frequently encountered).
Thank you! |
