| Hi everyone! Hope you're doing good.
I am trying to process the data from an Aura wav audio of my model.
How can I reroduce the Aura values using the wav data?
I'm going to try to explain myself..
To read the audio I use dirac, which gives me the Impulse response amplitude in % from 0% to 100% and the ETC 0 dBfs has maximum amplitude. I tried to do it in python/matlab as well and the reading values are from -32767 to 32767, I understand this values came from the Bit Depth which are actually 2^16 for a a Bit Depth of 16 bits.
How Aura calculate the wav amplitude values in Pa?
How Aura convert the Pa values to dB in the ETC curve?
Furthermore, the Pa values are in mPa (mili pascal).
Find attached in the link the Figures which shows the IR graph and ETC graph in Probe.

| I'm not quite sure what your intention is. If you would like to see the by AURA calculated values in Pa you could save the data as .bir file.
Then you could open these files in EASERA
https://www.afmg.eu/en/afmg-easera/url
and you will see the values in Pa. |

To reproduce the Aura values from the WAV data, you will need to convert the WAV data into the relevant units (Pa). The process for doing this depends on the specific WAV file format you are dealing with, but in general, you will need to convert the 16-bit digital sample values into a physical unit such as Pa. You can then use the ETC curve to calculate the dB level from the Pa values. |

| When the BIR files are created using AURA, by default they are normalized to 100dB. If you instead create RSP files from AURA, you can then use EARS to convert them to BIR files that have relative values in dB instead. These can then be converted to WAV files for use in other software, but they then lose the binaural information and are saved as though they were monaural.
As Frank said, the BIR files themselves can be read by EASERA. |
