| As SPK loudspeaker format is no longer supported in EASE 5-FE, we still need to work with some old loudspeaker models occasionally. Do we have to turn back to EASE 4? or is there anyway to convert a SPK file to GLL? Like extrtact the key specifications in SPK and recompile them in SpeakerLab? |

| Hi Johnson,
we would rather recommend contacting the manufacturer and asking for GLL data. If the speaker measurements are still available, it is not a big effort to create a GLL. As a workaround, the spks could be converted to a low-resolution GLL, which should also be done by the manufacturer.

| Hi!
I was hoping to loop back in on this for confirmation, as we're in a similar situation:
If the speaker manufacturer seems unlikely to respond to our request, is it possible to use SpeakerLab to convert the .spk into a .gll on our own? |

| In general, this would work. However, this should only be done with your own data and not with data from other manufacturers. The manufacturer's data authorizations are lost in this process. |
