| Hello Bruce
Is there a info sheet on installing and running AFMG software on mac hardware? I have just made the jump to the white side and need to install my EASE, EASERA & systune.
Thanks |

| John,
No there is not using a VM. I boot mine to Vista 99% of the time and run everything from BootCamp. |

| Hello bruce
I am pulling my hair out trying get the FW800 port on my mac pro to sync with my firebox, I know it not a AFMG bug. I notice your running Vista, I am still running XP and have downloaded the upgrades for XP and a heap of firewire800 drivers but still no blue light on the firebox. Is anyone running XP in bootcamp with the FW800 port working? Do I need to go to vista to get it to work? |

| Hi John,
The FireBox is a FW400 device. Are you using a FW800 to FW400 cable? Maybe it does not like that. |

| I am using 800 to 400 cable which works when in OS. The blue light on the firebox turns on when you first plug it in or you update the firmware of the unit but turns back to red after a couple of seconds .When you go to the control panel of XP and select the audio device's to firebox it only show the cicus device. I have flicked though the Presonus forums and have done all that they have posted with still no luck. I am think that it a XP/bootcamp thing that does it like any new drivers for the fireport or audio devices.
Did you have to do anything tricky to get Vista to see your gateway via a 800 to 400 cable?
thanks |

| I don't use an 800 to 400 cable, just a 400 to 400, and it works fine. I have both port IIRC, but I only use a normal 400 cable. |
