| Hello - I'm considering the purchase of EASERA Pro and have read every EASERA post on this site, but still have a couple of questions:
1. What is the primary reason you offer TEF-TDS Module? Is it the high noise immunity, or are there additional aspects to this sort of measurement that makes it useful for acoustic work?
2. Would the TEF-TDS Module function properly with the RME Fireface 400 if a loopback reference were made at the beginning of each measurement session?
Thanks so much!
PS: I'm sure nobody cares much, but I live in OS X when not doing measurements and the current version of Safari will not display the text within the posts to this forum. I'm using IE v7 in a Parallels window within OS X to write this. |

No, TDS is currently only allowed using the EASERA Gateway. |

| Thanks so much again Bruce - I'll stop barkin' up that tree. :)
I was unable to find an explanation of the intended purpose and application of the TEF-TDS Module in the downloadable owner's manual or tutorial. I'd love a technical document covering the various measurement options and tips for their proper application. Perhaps this will be included in the demo once I receive permission to begin the 30 day trial? |

| Hello,
we are currently working on a detailed manual for the TEF-TDS module. I also suspect you prefer the English version over the German as well.
In any case the TDS module adds the TDS typical swept sine excitation and the heterodyne tracking filter (in the software domain). More details have been published in an AES paper with Steve McManus:
"Time Delay Spectrometry Processing Using Standard Hardware Platforms", Preprint 5927, 115th (September 2003)
We are presently evaluating the FireFace 400 especially with respect to stacked configurations (2 units). I can confirm that we have been asked to enable TDS for this device, but we need more time to clarify the circumstances.
For a demo version of EASERA Pro and/or TDS please contact us directly. The regular demo only includes standard EASERA plus MLS. It is no problem to issue "higher" evaluation licences.
Thanks,
Stefan |

| So with the TDS option are their new Stimuls signals?
What folders hold the post processing features ?
If there is a German manual I would accept it and run it thru a translation program. It would be more helpful than nothing.
Thanks,
Joe |

It is a stardard Sweep where you choose the Start and Stop frequencies as part of the Stimulus Parameters. I am not sure what you mean by "what folders". There is a second step where the TDS Post Processing parameters are selected. The description of this is in the current manual (hint: search on "TDS"). The only thing missing is the picture of the Stimulus Parameters in the current help file. |

| Hell,Team EASERA,
Stefan said you were currently working on a detailed manual for the TEF-TDS module on May 16, 2007.
I want to know whether the TEF-TDS manual is finished, and when the manual can be downloaded on website www.easera.com .
Thank you,
Raymond |

| Bruce, Stefan,
Do you have any recent reports on using TDS module with non-EASERA gateway soundcard? Thank you.

| No reports, because only the EASERA Gateway supports the TDS module. |

Does EASERA run with TEF25-USB?
Thank you.

| Bruce/Stefan,
Is it possible to do an automated polar measurement using the TDS module?
Thank you.
