| I typically export my EASE models to DXFs for making larger changes in Autocad and found the program does a pretty good job of retaining material proprieties and speaker/seat/audience orientation through layer management. However, is it somehow possible to also retain all the speaker parameters (model, SPL, phase, etc.), rather than having all my speakers default to the blank 'Sphere' speaker model when I go to re-import?

| I think you might be asking a bit much of the Autocad interface. Autocad does not understand amplitude or phase.
Would it not help to create an object containing the loudspeakers. You can save an object and import it into the re-vamped model.

| I'll agree with what Peter has suggested. Create an Object in EASE with only the loudspeaker items activated. I'd also recommend locating the Point Of Origin at a known location, for example 0,0,0. BTW It helps if you reinstate the original UCS point in AutoCAD before saving to DXF.
You can then insert the Object back into the re-imported model. |
