| I am modeling a space with short line arrays mounted relatively low on the wall. These are covering clumps of people standing in groups. I have made cubes on the floor which simulate each group of people. Two sided faces might be adequate; I haven't run a comparison. This only makes a difference for ray tracing, but then it looks like it can be somewhat significant.
What I am unclear on is what absorption coefficient I should use for the faces of the cube. It appears that the the absorption values for audience in the generic surface file are for faces coated on the floor. The cube has five times the surface area of a patch on the floor. Do I divide the absorption by 5 and use that?
Thanks.
