| Hi
i did a simulate for a room and found a resonance that i want to control it using some helmholtz resonators, i have designed them separately and i have all necesary data in order to built them too! but i don't know how i can do that in ease? Or more specific question will be, how i can do for simulate them inside of ease in order to evalute how many units i will need to install in that room for get a flatter reverberation curve?.....
Thanks anticipated for commments!

| Dear Opacheco,
As with all other Wall Materials, the resonator is represented by a Face with the corresponding Wall Material assigned. You will need the absorption coefficients for your resonator so that you can create the corresponding Wall Material with the Material Base module of EASE. You can either measure the coefficients or simulate them.
SoundFlow, our simulation software for calculating the absorption, reflection, and transmission of sound by multi-layer structures might be helpful. You might register for a trial version here: http://soundflow.afmg.eu/index.php/sf-downloads-en.html
A note of precaution: please be careful with respect the lower frequency limit imposed by the geometric acoustics assumptions, used in EASE. The lowest frequency used for simulations will depend on your room size and geometry. For more information, please refer to the Schroeder Frequency.
HTH,
Pedro |

| Thanks Pedro for your help!!....But do you have a tutorial for "create the corresponding Wall Material with the Material Base module of EASE"???....or where I can find soemthing like this??
Thanks a lot again,

| Hi Opacheco,
first see the EASE Material Base online Help or the EASE Manual Chapter XII.
