| Hi everyone!
My current project requires me to model a suspended ceiling. First I was thinking about approximating absorption coefficients for the whole structure and then modelling the whole part as a flat surface. However, this approach seems a bit odd and the room volume will stay the same.
How should I do it correctly? I'm completely new to EASE so thanks for understanding.

| Hello Andrzej,
You were right in your first assumption: you should consider the structure as a single entity and model it with the corresponding (combined) absorption coeficient. Unless your structure is REALLY thick with respect to the total volume this approach will be fine. If it is indeed too thick, you can still create a volume (cuboid) in order to take into account it's volume. But also in this case the absorption coefficients for the whole strcuture would be considered.
