| Hi,
I have two problems:
1)
I am generating area mapping using Standard and Standard with ray tracing method for a warehouse 10 meter high. I am simulating window and door opening as absorber. Ceiling 60 Watt speaker producing 89DB DIRECT spl around absorbers when using Standard mapping. However, when using Standard with ray tracing, direct SPL is 0. D/R is zero. However, total SPL 89 db. Shadow cast is disable. Why so different?
2) The warehouse ceiling is acoustic material of NRC=0.9. The concrete roof is 1.3 meter above ceiling. How to model the ceiling?
Please suggest. Thanks a lot in advance. |

| Hi,
1) To check this, we need the calculation parameters, please send the (packed) project to support@afmg.eu.
2) EASE does not handles sound transmission of wall materials. The acoustic material should have an absorption coefficient, that takes the concrete reflections into account. |

| Thanks a lot for reply.
Here is the solution from support team:
"the mapping artifacts are caused by the audience area being exactly adjacent to the wall. The coated off window face is a little bit in front of the wall and cut by the audience area.
As workaround just move the audience area 1 cm into the room.
For instance change the x coordinate of A1 fro, 7.88 m to 7.87 m:" |
