| I'm enjoying the DXF import feature very much! A great time saver!
Is it possible to import an individual DXF layer into an existing EASE model? Having already imported 2D outline of my walls, extruding them, and going through the trouble of editing 90 loudspeakers, it dawned on me that I could create audience areas in AutoCAD very easily (probably more easily than in EASE), but do not want to redo all the work I have done already with the model! I guess I know better next time!
So what is the best/most efficient method to go about this? Import just the layer titled EASE-AREAS into the existing model (with 2D polylines indicating audience areas), or should I just create a new EASE model with only this layer, then combine it into the existing model as an object? Decisions, decisions... |

No, but...

A DXF Import wipes out everything that is there and starts over, so... Arthur wrote: | or should I just create a new EASE model with only this layer, then combine it into the existing model as an object? |
That's the way to do it! You can insert it as an Object , or you can Merge it with the existing model. That's under the File menu in Edit Room. I like to use the Object generally, because then I can easily manipulate all of the Audience Areas at once. |
