| Bad Determination of Delay-Time |

| Hi everyone,
I always get a warning like „Bad Determination of Delay-Time“ on every measurement.
I knew that I can switch this kind of warning off, but how can I eliminate the reason ?
And what is this kind of warning standing for ?

| Hello Tobi,
the warning "Bad Determination of Delay-Time" tells you, that the internal calculation of the arrival (electronic delay-) time is not very good. It can only be determined with an error larger than 1 sample.
This depends of the used driver. So normally you will get this error repeatedly, if you do not switch to another driver.
Sometimes you can try another sample rate for some drivers or you increase the signal lengths.
In any case we recommend to use an ASIO driver if possible.
But, if you have to use this driver, switch off the bothering messages in the option window.
Then you should measure the accuracy of the measured delay time by measuring the arrival time several times with a wired short-cut.
If you find the electronic delay time is not stable enough, you have to change the driver or even the device.
On the other hand, if the accuracy of the measured arrival time is not critically you can perform the measurements neverthless.
