The only weakness of the algorithm is that if the faces in EASE are not completely plane, the resulting triangles will only approximate the original faces and therefore only approximate the volume. However, using standard EASE room building tolerances, this error can usually not become significant.
We do not use any kind of Monte-Carlo or other numerical methods to calculate the volume as the analytical approach is faster and more accurate. It works for any kind of closed space.
