| I am having a general problem with generating mappings at high resolution over large areas (stadia and other venues). On a regular basis when I set the mapping steps to lower numbers, say less than 1.5 on a football field, I get the following errors in this order:
1. Error in CreateMapFromFile Overflow 6
2. Runtime Error "91": Object variable or Withblock variable not set
3. After clicking OK on each above, the Mapping module must be closed.
4. Then, then I have to close the Main Module and get the message telling me that an EASE Child has crashed and EASE must be restarted (even though I have already restarted it...)
Can anyone help decipher these cryptic messages? I have a hunch that EASE is trying to store data from the calculation somewhere and it runs out of room (note that this hard-drive has 206GB free space).
By the way, what is this about?
Mistake! There was an attempt of an automatic insert of the message in a forum. Your message is sent to hell. Try still times who knows - can it will turn out? Still probably, that you too long wrote the message - then pass to page back, copy the text, update page, insert the copied text and press button "Send". |

| Hi John,
thank you for the report. Could you please send us the project in question?
Please also check if you are running the latest version of EASE (4.2.0.22).
Thanks,
Stefan |

| Stephan,
I will pack and send the project for you to try in 4.2. I am holding out on the update to hear all the news on what it involves and what benefits / conflicts it may or may not present. Overall, this has been a general problem in a variety of projects. I can comment that this is not a "closed" project as it is a simulation of an outdoor environment. Perhaps that is a factor. We do lots of these types of projects here.
Thank you,
John Loufik |

| John,
This is one of the bugs that is fixed in the latest version. I can recreate your steps using the Stadium prototype with a step size less than 1.25 ft in version 4.1. Version 4.2 now gives you a message box for these high resolution maps to inform you of the needed memory. It also maps them without errors.
Thanks for the report. |
